Questions you may have...

What is intuitive eating about?

Intuitive eating is a process by which you learn how to care for your self and your needs, by paying attention to your body cues compassionately. We use mindfulness to develop paying attention to the present moment, on purpose to tune in to our physical body sensations, as well as our thoughts, feelings, and intuition. 

The process will change your relationship with yourself (into a more compassionate one) and heal your relationship with food and eating. 

My work here is largely based on the Intuitive Eating Book & The Intuitive Eating Workbook by Evelyn Tribole, MS, RDN, & Elyse Resch, MS, RDN. The program principles & activities are based on their work, and used with permission & their ongoing support. 

Is this similar to Mindful Eating?

Although we use mindfulness as a core tool to develop awareness, and mindful eating is about tuning in to the pleasure aspects of food, intuitive eating delves much deeper than why & what I eat.  We work on body attunement by enhancing aspects that reconnect us  & reducing body disruptors. Above all we consistently unpack rejecting the diet mentality as the key underlying principle, as well as challenging unhelpful thoughts & fears,

How long does the program go for?

This is an intensive 5 week program. We meet 2x week, and really dive in for each 90 min session. 

Can I get  refund if I decide to cancel?

You can receive a refund if you decide to discontinue before the the second workshop of the program. A $70 book, workbook and shipping fee is withheld.

And of course, we can discuss the reasons behind choosing to discontinue and together explore the best course of action for you (attending a future program, or doing some
individual nutrition therapy sessions).

Is there a discount for seniors/concession? 

No, we currently do not offer discounts or concessions for this program.
